The idea

I built SoulPrint around one rule: nothing you write is ever read by anyone.

From the moment you send your last answer to the moment your novel lands in Your Secret Garden, more than 35 steps run on their own, one after another, without anyone stepping in. No one opens your answers partway through to edit a line that sounds too raw, and no one decides your story needs a happier ending than the one you actually lived. What we call the scribes isn't a person at a desk. It's that whole chain of steps, and it runs untouched from start to finish.

I built it this way on purpose. Some of what people write in answer to the gentle questions, they have never said out loud, not to a partner, not even to their closest friend. A version of yourself you have never had to defend to another person keeps a kind of privacy that matters, and I wanted a way for people to open up without feeling watched or judged while they did it. That's the whole design, not a limitation of it.

What comes out is a narrative mirror, a 150-page novel built entirely from what you wrote, not a self-help program and not advice.

The person behind it

Pascal Stifani built SoulPrint. He is a coach and therapist based in Switzerland, and this is his first project on this scale.

The rule behind the whole site, that no one reads what you write, comes directly from his work as a therapist. He has spent years in rooms where people finally say the thing they have never said out loud, and he wanted to build an online space that protects that same kind of privacy.

He lives in Vallorbe, in the canton of Vaud, where SoulPrint is written and produced.

Where SoulPrint comes from

The idea arrived early in 2025, out of a slightly naive experiment: he had described a person to an artificial intelligence using only their archetypes, without saying that the person was him. What came back sounded like him. He spent the following months giving chapters to people close to him, to see whether they recognised themselves too. The first novels ran to 250 pages across eighteen chapters; the shape has tightened since, to around 150.

How it works

You answer around 25 gentle questions about your memories, your choices, and what matters to you. There's no test, no score, and no wrong answer.

From your answers, the scribes weave your novel: more than 35 steps running on their own, without anyone reading what you wrote along the way.

Those scribes are artificial intelligence, and we say so plainly: an automatic chain of large language models, handed from one step to the next, with no human reading at any point. That is exactly what makes the promise possible. A team of editors would mean eyes on your words; here there is no one in the chain, and a 150-page novel written for one reader alone could not exist any other way.

How your novel is woven

Here is the method, step by step. What we keep to ourselves is the exact wording handed to the scribes; everything else is here.

Your answers. Around twenty-five gentle questions, with no clock and no right answer: memories, choices, what you are proud of, what you carry. You can stop and come back. They are the only raw material of the book.
Your literary double. The scribes first draw the main character: what they long for, what they run from, their values, their contradictions, the way they come close to other people. They lean on three well-known frameworks — Carol Pearson's twelve archetypes (one head, one body, one heart), the sixteen MBTI types and the nine types of the Enneagram. These frameworks shape how the character sees, acts and is moved. They never appear as labels in the book.
The narrative world. Around your double, five companions are created, each with a precise part in the story and a life of their own. The places and the people of your life are deliberately transposed: close enough for you to recognise them, different enough for you to be able to look at them.
The arc. The novel follows the hero's journey across twelve chapters, from the ordinary world to the changed return. A symbolic object, chosen for you, runs through the book.
The writing. Each chapter is written in your language, from the outline, holding in memory everything that came before: the names, the places, what has already been said. There is no author at a desk. The scribes are a chain of artificial intelligences, more than thirty-five steps running one after another without a person reading your answers along the way. That is precisely what makes the intimacy possible.
The cover and the layout. Your cover is composed from the photograph you chose, or woven for you. The book is laid out as a designed PDF and as an EPUB, ready for Kindle, Apple Books or Kobo.
Your Secret Garden. Two to four business days later, the novel is waiting for you in your private reading space. Your raw answers are deleted thirty days after delivery. The novel itself stays yours.

The scribes, today: OpenAI's models draw the character and their world, Claude, by Anthropic, writes the novel, Gemini, by Google, composes the cover.

What SoulPrint is not

SoulPrint is not therapy. It is not a diagnosis, it is not treatment, and it is in no way a substitute for professional care. It is a literary experience of introspection: a novel that holds up a mirror, and nothing more than that.

Some readers bring their novel to their therapist, which may well be the truest use it can have: a text to set down between yourself and someone who listens. If you are going through a hard time, please talk to a health professional — a book does not replace a person sitting across from you.

Privacy

No one reads your answers, at any point in the process. Your raw answers are deleted 30 days after your novel is delivered; your novel itself stays yours for good. One thing falls outside that rule, and it never touches your answers: a photograph shared for a short film may be looked at by a person before it is published.

Your data is hosted on servers situated within the European Union.
